United Rentals Campaign & Recall Manager in Scottsdale, Arizona
The Campaign & Recall Manager will manage field facing recall and campaign related executions and completion performance for equipment and vehicles in the UR fleet. This role manages URI compliance with manufacture's safety and service bulletins/campaigns.
The Maintenance and Warranty Department is responsible for managing safety and service related recalls issued on our equipment, improving the preventative maintenance program, warranty claims management, and providing support to our service teams on their equipment and diagnostic needs.
Maintain and update the "Service Bulletin Maintenance" module in Rental Man.
Insure all URI locations/equipment affected by a manufactures safety and service bulletin/campaign has received communication
Perform follow up on incomplete safety and service bulletin/campaign
Manages and approves all refurbishment related invoices
Manage the equipment refurbishment process
Establishes refurbishment programs with vendors and maintains a standardized and appropriate scope of work for equipment categories to be refurbished
Manages refurbishment scope of work for each equipment category
Involved in vendor negotiations related to refurbishment
Completes annual forecasts and manages to Refurbishment CapEx budget
Reviews and approves extra work to be performed outside the standard scope of work
Manage problem resolution process, reporting and data requirements of refurbishment suppliers
Evaluates and identifies equipment categories that meet the financial requirements for refurbishment consideration
Leads monthly supplier calls
Manages Refurbishment vendor relationship
Develops and implements operational plans that ensures efficient inbound and outbound flow of units for each refurbishment center is maintained to meet monthly output requirements
Manages effective flow of refurbishment candidates to meet company volume initiatives
Ensures adherence to refurbishment policy and programs including invoices and credit memos processes
Conducts quality control visits to refurbishment vendor facilities
Works with Region Fleet Directors to effectively manage the unit flow and address issues or opportunities
Monitors transportation costs related to the refurbishment program
Business lead on IT projects related to refurbishment
Evaluates and approves cost savings opportunities related to processes and scope of work
Recruits, trains, and develops qualified employees
Communicates job expectations and fosters a collaborative environment
Provides guidance and mentoring for staff development
Conducts Annual Performance Reviews
Other General Duties:
Work with suppliers to ensure awareness of changes to equipment that impact field repair process, specifications, design and technology.
Supports URI specification and purchasing decisions
Provides technical and maintenance repair procedures designed to improve capabilities, fleet reliability, shop efficiency, and improve maintenance cost.
Provides "Best Practices" related to fleet and technical matters.
Create and Manage All Maintenance related Policies and Procedures
Assists field and region locations when needed with:
-Resolves issues between suppliers and field locations
-Responds to inquiries from region and corporate departments
-Equipment Status Changes when required
-Provide direct technical support and expertise to field operations management
-Participate in answering the Maintenance@ur.com emails
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Experience : Proven track record with at least 3 years fleet and/or maintenance management experience
