United Rentals Digital Product Manager in Stamford, Connecticut

As a Digital Products Manager at United Rentals, you will assist in the development of our next generation of digital tools and services. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products/initiatives from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. Through managing the project inventory and working closely with the development teams you will ensure smooth execution of the project roadmap, on time and within budget.

Location - Preferred locations are Stamford, CT or Charlotte, NC. Open to remote worker in the US for the right candidate.

Additional duties include the following:

  • Create detailed product requirements via building a deep understanding of the customer needs, analyzing processes and working closely with subject matter experts in all levels of our business

  • Build product roadmaps in-line with overall business strategy and articulate those roadmaps to the development teams and other stakeholders

  • Prepare and prioritize the product backlog and lead backlog grooming meetings

  • Play an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals

  • Provide tactical direction to the agile design/development teams throughout the sprint lifecycle

  • Review of design and development to ensure delivery of the acceptance criteria

  • Work collaboratively with sales, operations, marketing, and legal to develop solid release/roll-out plans

  • Build, track and report product KPIs

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, marketing preferred

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience

  • A strong project management or product management background specifically with software projects/products

  • A proven track record of delivering projects/products on-time and within budget

  • Knowledge of Agile processes and principles

  • Experience using the Atlassian product suite (Jira, Confluence, Advanced roadmaps)

  • Experience reviewing design documentation, such as wireframes, interaction flows and VD specs

  • Knowledge of the equipment rental industry or the wider construction/industrial space

  • Sharp analytical mind and problem-solving skills

  • Detailed orientated, but able to move at pace

  • Good communication and leadership skills

  • A collaborative team player
